After many years with the same interface, we've given the platform a complete visual refresh to provide a cleaner, more modern experience while keeping the functionality you rely on every day. While the system may look different, your workflows, data, and processes remain the same.
What's Changing?
The refreshed interface includes:
A modernised colour palette aligned with the OnRent Events and Klipboard brands.
Refreshed buttons and navigation elements.
A fully collapsible sidebar, giving you more screen space when you need it.
Improved page layouts designed to make information easier to find.
Accessibility improvements as we continue working towards full WCAG compliance.
One of the biggest changes you'll notice is the relocation of actions and documents. Rather than being positioned within the right-hand side panel, these options are now available from convenient dropdown menus at the top of each page.
Actions Menu
Actions such as Edit, Clone, Delete, Favourite, and module-specific actions can now be found under the Actions dropdown in the top-right corner of the page.
Documents Menu
Printing and document-related functions can now be found under the Print dropdown, located alongside the Actions menu.
This change helps reduce scrolling and keeps commonly used actions consistently positioned throughout the system.
What's Staying the Same?
While the appearance of the platform has changed, the way it works has not.
Your data remains unchanged.
Existing workflows continue to function exactly as before.
No core functionality has been removed.
The same modules, records, and processes remain available.
This refresh focuses on improving the experience of using the system without changing how you work.
Branding Updates
As part of this refresh, Current RMS continues its transition to OnRent Events.
You may notice updated naming, colours, and branding throughout the platform. This aligns the product with the wider Klipboard family while modernising the overall experience.
Will the login address change?
No. Your current login URL and access points are not changing as part of this release.
Whilst we may review domain changes in the future, any change to customer login addresses would be consulted on extensively before implementation. There are currently no immediate changes planned to how you access the platform.
Accessibility
Accessibility has been a key consideration throughout the redesign process. We've worked closely with specialist UX designers and continue to review the platform against WCAG accessibility guidelines.
Our goal is to deliver a more inclusive experience for all users, and we are continuing to gather feedback and make improvements as needed.
We’re Still Listening
We're continuing to welcome customer feedback as we refine the experience.
We've already received valuable input from beta users, Customer Advisory Board members, and customers across our community, and we're grateful for the insights they've shared.
If something doesn't feel right or you have suggestions for further improvements, we'd love to hear from you. Customer feedback continues to play an important role in shaping future enhancements.

Documents and printing options can be accessed from the Print dropdown in the top-right corner of the page, next to the Actions menu.

These options are available from the Actions dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the page. Please note that access to certain actions depends on your user role and permissions.

The information panel may have been collapsed. You can reopen it by selecting the toggle icon located next to the Actions menu.

Yes. Current RMS is now operating under the name OnRent Events as part of a wider rebrand. The product remains the same, with the same functionality and features you already know.
Is the login address changing?
No. Your current login URL is not changing as part of this release. Should this ever be considered in the future, customers would be consulted well in advance of any change.
Where is Global Search?
Global Search remains in the same location and can still be accessed from the top-right corner of the system.
Can users switch back to the old interface?
No. This is a platform-wide rebrand and interface refresh, so the updated experience applies to all users.
Is the redesign more accessible?
Yes. Accessibility has been a core focus of the redesign, and the new interface has been developed with WCAG guidelines in mind. We continue to review and improve accessibility across the platform.
Will users need retraining?
For most users, retraining should not be necessary because the core functionality and workflows remain unchanged. However, we do offer free training should your team require additional support.
Where is the Back button?
The previous Back button has been replaced with breadcrumb navigation at the top of the page.
These breadcrumbs show your current location within the system and allow you to quickly navigate back to modules or the home page.
Can we switch back to the original colour scheme?
No. The updated colour palette forms part of the new OnRent Events branding and has been designed with accessibility and usability in mind.
Why are there more clicks required to complete some actions?
To provide a cleaner and less cluttered interface, certain actions are now grouped within the Actions dropdown.
Whilst this may add an additional click in some situations, it creates a more consistent experience across the platform and makes important information easier to view.
Why was this change made during a busy period?
We understand that any interface change can feel more noticeable during busy periods.
Because OnRent Events is used globally, we have worked to select a launch schedule that balances the needs of customers across different regions. Although the interface looks different, the underlying functionality remains unchanged, allowing you to continue working with the same processes and workflows.
Why have the Actions and Documents menus moved?
The Actions and Documents menus have been moved to the top of the page to improve visibility and reduce the need to scroll through the side panel.
The goal is to make these functions easier to access while giving more space to the information you're viewing.
I don't like the new interface. Can I provide feedback?
Absolutely.
We recognise that changes to familiar software can take time to adjust to, and we genuinely welcome feedback from our customers. If you have any suggestions, concerns, or ideas for improvement, please let us know and we'll ensure your feedback is shared with the relevant teams.
Thank you for being part of the OnRent Events community. We're excited to continue improving the platform and look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.
