Use Notes to keep your team informed on important information related to an Opportunity.

What Are Opportunity Notes

The Notes feature allows you to add a internal Note to an Opportunity. The Note will be date stamped so you can see when it is added.

Previously you may have used Discussions to communicate with your team, but Notes allows you to add information to an Opportunity that isn't urgent and can be reviewed in your teams own time.

Notes can also be a handy reminder of certain information previously discussed either with your team or customer.

Get Started

To create a Note go to the Notes section whilst viewing an Opportunity. Simply select 'Add a new note' to begin.

You'll have the option to select a Note Type. The Type will allow you to select a category for the note. For example the note could refer to your Products, logistics or just be a general note regarding the Opportunity.

Additional Note Types can be added in System Setup > List of Values by editing the 'Opportunity note categories' option.

You can then use the text box to add the information you would like to add to the Note. Select 'Create Note' to save your Note.

View Notes

Once saved you'll be able to view your Notes in the Note section. They'll include the Note, Type and information on who created the Note and when. The most recent Note will be listed first with the rest appearing an non-chronological fashion.

To edit or delete a Note, simply select the drop-down arrow next to the Note.
