Why do invoice or offer links expire, and how long are they valid?

Understanding Link Expiry for Invoices and Offers

Public links to invoices or offers in OnRent Events can temporarily provide access to these documents. However, these links are subject to an expiration policy to ensure the security and validity of shared information. Below, we outline the key points users need to know regarding this expiration policy:

Link Expiry Timeline

  • Public invoice or offer links are valid for a fixed period of 30 days from the time of creation.

Link Behaviour and Accessibility

  • Once the 30-day validity period lapses, the link will expire automatically. Expired links will no longer provide access to the document, and users must log in to their account to access it or request a new link.

Practical Implications for Users

  • To ensure uninterrupted access to invoices or offers via public links, it is recommended to accept or act on these documents within the 30-day time frame. If the link has expired: - Log in to your OnRent Events account to access the document directly. - Alternatively, request a new link to be generated and shared.

By understanding these settings, users can manage invoices and offers promptly and avoid access challenges caused by link expiration.
