Purchase Orders is a central location for all of the purchase orders created over the lifetime of your system.
Create manual purchase orders here, too.
Get started
To access your Purchase Orders, head to Resources > Purchase Orders from the menu bar.
You’ll see a list of all live purchase orders
Live purchase orders have the status open, authorized, or sent.
Inactive purchase orders are those that are canceled or completed. The default view hides these to allow you to focus on the ones that need your attention.
Purchase order statuses
There are two types of purchase order: drafts and orders.
Drafts do not have a purchase order number, useful if you’re planning ahead of time.
Orders do have a purchase order number. They’re ready to be authorized, sent, or completed.
Purchase orders have one of the following statuses:
Open
An open purchase order hasn’t been authorized just yet. Depending how you work, it might be waiting for approval from a manager.Authorized
An authorized purchase order has been approved internally. It’s ready to send.Sent
Clicking “Mark as sent” is a handy way of keeping track of which purchase orders you’ve sent your supplier.Completed
When you’re done with a purchase order, mark it as completed. This could be once you’ve received the goods.Canceled
Cancel a purchase order if it’s no longer going ahead. A record is left in Current RMS.
The color of each status is reflected on the opportunity costs view.
