  1. Free scan items in / global check-in screen

    I would like to see a function where we could free scan items in from opportunities. We constantly have multiple shows coming back at the same time and have shows that have multiple orders on them that tend to get mixed up on site. It can be quite a hassle to go to from one opportunity to the next trying to figure out where certain items came from. It would be nice if an item was just free scanned in and was automatically checked in from whichever opportunity it was on.

    • Version numbers on quotes

      I'd really like to see version numbers appear on updated quotes. This helps the customer when they've ammended several times. When discussing they can state the version number such as quote #123 version 2. Or quote #123.2, #123.3 etc.
      This is standard on a lot of other platforms and is very helpful during negotiation prior to confirmation.
      It would also be useful to revert an order to a quote. As people change their minds a lot.

        Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll keep an eye on the number of votes on this one.

        One thing that might help in the meantime is customizing your document layouts to include a date stamp. You can use this as a point of reference when dealing with different revisions.

        To add a date stamp, the Liquid you’ll need is {% 'now' %}. Use date filters to change how the date is formatted.

      • Customized user access - configure exactly what users can see

        I would like to be able to customize exactly what a user can and can not see of the system. For example, I want my technicians to see all of the job information, equipment, client contact info etc, for the jobs they are allocated to, but I do not want them to see the entire list of opportunities (drafts, quotes, projects). A much more detailed breakdown of user access permissions would really be helpful.

        • Lock order once Prep initiated.

          It would be great to have the ability to lock an order once the warehouse has been given the go ahead to prep. This would stop the Project manager from adding additional items and forces them to actually start a new opportunity within their Project called extras. Things might end up getting missed from the prep if items are added after the picking list is printed. If any one has any suggestions to get around this please let me know, thanks!

          • Updating item quantity instead of creating new line

            When adding items into an opportunity at the moment if I use the picker and add an item that is already in the opportunity it adds a new line for the item, it would be great if it updated the quantity of the item if you are picking into the same group the item is already in.

            • Show Stock Location on check In/Out screen

              When checking out jobs it would be really useful for the screen to display the stock location of the items.

              Ideally if the column was sort able it would mean pickers can efficiently pick from areas of the store.

              Obviously this is slightly complicated for serialised stock as the stock locations can be stored per items of stock. But if stock hasn't been allocated then the location column could show the 1st 2 (?) locations that the stock lives - if there isn't room on screen then the stock location should be clickable so that it will take you through…

              • Book out container

                So you've got a Cable Trunk that is barcoded CT001

                You assign that as the container as you scan all the cables in to it.

                When it comes to 'Book Out' I have to rescan all those cables...what a pain!

                I'd like to just scan the case barcode and everything in that container is scanned out of the warehouse.

                • Asset serial numbers when allocating

                  All of our stock has a serialised barcode and from our previous system they show the serial number instead of the asset number, it would be really handy when manually assigning an asset in detail view for it to show the asset number and also the serial number in brackets. Same goes for when adding an asset in to quarantine the drop down list of assets to show the serial number as well.

                    The integration of the Resource Planner and Activities Calendar is great and being able to add more than one person to an Activity and have the ability to show it in the Resource Planner is very handy for us. However there are a few improvements that I think would be welcomed:
                    1: Ability to schedule reoccurring appointments - e.g. we have a weekly managers meeting and have to put each one in separately but it always happens at the same time/day every week.                       - Our warehouse team are not allowed to sit on the computer through out the day, There is a big plasma on our wall of which they work from and use for packaging and notes. Should we send them a discussion or Activity they may not see it for up to 20 minuets sometimes longer.

                      When asking a simple question to our warehouse team from the office for example stock levels, General tasks it would be nice to have a live chat like we have when talking to your staff.

                      • Projects numbered as default, opportunities to have sub identifiers

                        It would be useful if projects were numbered as default and the opportunities created within the project had sub identifiers. It becomes confusing for accounts and logistics when there are multiple different job numbers within a project due to a variety of opportunities created all being allocated their own unique identifiers. It would be useful if the project carried the "parent" identifier and all the opportunities carried the "parent" plus a unique suffix.

                        The system could work in the following way - Quote Created (Job number allocated - JB0666). Quote Accepted. Quote Confirmed as Order and converted to project. (JB0666).…

                          In the meantime, using an auto-number custom field against your project might help here.

                          An auto-number counts up each time you create a new record. You could set up a custom field called “Project Number” or something similar as an auto-number and Current RMS will count up each time you create a new project. As with most custom fields, we can display this custom field on any project documents generated.

                        • Add opportunity attachments to document layouts

                          It would be fantastic to have the option to attachment images to an opportunity that could then be added to a document layout such a quotation or run sheet. This way we could put site photos or event CAD designs into the quote rather than send them as an attachment.

                          From a sales point this would enchance our proposals and from a logistics point the run sheets we send our suppliers would be much more detailed with site photos.

                          • Clone Costs Option When Cloning Opportunity

                            When cloning an opportunity costs are lost and must be re-entered manually. This makes creating multiple revisions of an opportunity time consuming.

                            My proposal is to replace the current "Are You Sure?" window with a new pop up window that asks "Would you like to Clone Costs?" with the answers 'Yes', 'No', or 'Cancel'.

                              When creating a Enquiry or quote... allow a rule to auto create a follow up 'activity' for a set period of time in advance. A prompt after a week or 10 days to check in on the opportunity would be useful.

                                We would love to be able to intergrate Current RMS into WooCommerce to enable customers to view, book & pay for equipment online. And have it automatically turn into a quote / order on Current RMS.

                                    In 'view all discussion' in both projects and opportunities there is no easy way out of the page without choosing a menu item or using the browser back button. A back arrow up to the project/opportunity would be helpful.

                                    • Availability of a parent item reflects component availability / creating packages

                                      It would be lifesaver for any tent rental company for availability in the picker to reflect a total based off the amount of mandatory components are available. We have tent poles, stakes, tops etc that are used on multiple items so when one gets rented I need it to pull the components to the other tents out of inventory so we don't over book.

                                      • Delivery Cost plus Van Hire Cost

                                        Hi, it would be good for us to have the option to add a Distance Charge and a Van Hire Charge to a Job without having to Calculate the millage and the Van hire.
                                        If there could be a tab that say allocates £60 per Day for a Van Hire that you can select and the millage is done at the rate agreed on Current that adds this on.

                                          A simple one really. It would be handy if I was able to start a new discussion in an opportunity and all the 'participants' in that opportunity were instantly added to the list of participants to be included in the new discussion (similar i suppose to the 'reply all' option offered by most email providers). It would be much quicker to delete those you wish not to involve than it would be to manually add each individually, especially if there are to be many recipients. This would also encourage users to add new contacts, etc, to the opportunity's list of…
