Why does my document say “Powered by Current RMS”?

You may notice a “Powered by Current RMS” watermark on your documents. This article explains why it appears and whether it can be removed.

Why is the watermark included?

The “Powered by Current RMS” text is included for copyright protection.

Both the Current RMS platform and its document layout designs are protected by copyright. The watermark helps prevent third parties from reusing or redistributing these designs for commercial purposes.

Can the watermark be removed?

No — the watermark cannot be removed.

For accounts created more recently, the watermark is a standard system feature and there is currently no option to disable or customise it.

Why do some customers not have this watermark?

If you joined Current RMS before 2023, you may not see this watermark on your documents.

This is because:

  • The feature was introduced after this time

  • It only applies to newer accounts by default

Why was this change introduced?

This was introduced to:

  • Protect Current RMS document designs from unauthorised use

  • Ensure consistency in how documents generated from the platform are attributed
